Welcome to poletrotters
Welcome to this sexy little corner of the Internet, my friends.
about poletrotters
Poletrotters is an international website and blog that blends the art of pole dancing with travel.
Dance is an international celebration. There’s variety abound and a strong-as-steel community within dance, no matter the discipline.
As a poletrotter, you are part of a worldwide network of pole dancers, aerialists, strippers, circus performers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, and your mom’s dentist’s secretary. Bottom line: we are an inclusive group. Anyone can be a poletrotter.
the mission
To connect dancers and travelers beyond Instagram. This site doesn’t police its content, or shadowban anyone. Anyone that visits the site is free to engage, advertise, and showcase any way they please.
This blog aims to move people (literally and mentally) to gain the confidence to explore the world through pole dancing, and the growing number of styles it encompasses.
about me
I’m Jen, and you’re probably wondering, ”who is this absolute giraffe that runs this blog?”
No? Well, I’ll answer it anyway.
This is a platform that is open to change, growth, and conversation. We’ll discuss trends, controversies, and most importantly, the people. Without the names and brands that drive this industry, a pole is just some cold metal thing that you might run into on the street if you’re texting and walking.
Pole dancing was in the back of my mind for years, ever since I saw this Anastasia Sokolova video, and was completely wowed by her strength and badassery. My own pole journey started in 2018 when my best friend invited me over to her apartment to try out her new pole. I did some crappy spins and weird body rolls, made a complete fool of myself, and fell in love with it on the spot.
Since then I’ve continued pole dancing in South Korea, learning the ins and outs of their style, and currently reside in Las Vegas where this blog continues to grow and evolve. I’m not an instructor (yet) and don’t have a professional dance background, so everything in this blog is from an enthusiast’s perspective.
The only love that supersedes pole is my love of writing. I’ve had a semi-professional career writing blog posts for a long list of random companies, in between jobs in the wine and spirits industry, education, and construction.
I love talking to people. To chat about a collaboration or partnership, shoot an email to poletrotterjen@gmail.com.
