When it comes to major-city living, there are two kinds of people.
The first kind of person is connected to everyone and everything. They know the best places to eat, drink, hike, party, get your oil changed, hide a body — you get the point. This person is out all the time, making an impact on the community and networking until the cows come home.
The other kind of person needs Google Maps to drive three miles in the suburbs.
Living in Las Vegas, I’m definitely a mix of both. It’s easy to know my neighborhood and sections of the Strip that I visit frequently for work, but ask me to go anywhere outside my jurisdiction and I might as well be stranded in the desert with a broken compass.
Downtown is another area I know well. My favorite cocktail bars are all within walking distance of each other, and I love nothing more than to sit outside Banger Brewing Company and watch the chaos of the street performers and drunk tourists.
That being said, Downtown Container Park is part of that beautiful chaos. It looks like a child took their blocks from kindergarten and gave them to a building designer and told them to figure it out. Some of the best folks are mixed in the fray, both locals and tourists, and they go to one special space to get a full-on, immersive Vegas dance experience.

Sunnys’ roots are in the heart of pole itself, namely stripping culture and clubs. Beyond traditional pole fitness classes, Sunny’s offers a service that gets dancers everywhere ready to thrive in Las Vegas: Stripper 101.
This masterclass does more than teach dance moves and tricks. A specialty curriculum includes etiquette tips, safety practices, some hygiene pointers and how to get that bag right.
“I’m not a financial advisor, but I do give tips on how to make it here,” she says. “It’s not something every studio offers. It caters to the community.”
